Scarred by the Wind by Juan Carlos Rubio

Ryan Rep at the Harry Warren Theatre (Founded 1972) is proud to present the world premiere of the English translation of Scarred by the Wind by Spanish playwright Juan Carlos Rubio. The play tells the story of David and Juan. David is tasked with sorting through his father's personal items after his death. Among his possessions, he finds something unexpected: love letters from another man. Puzzled by the discovery, he decides to visit the alleged lover of his father and find out the truth. Translated with care by Iride Lamartina-Lens, Scarred by the Wind will captivate and move you. Roberta Raymond will direct the show featuring Tony Marinelli as Juan and Ronald Kuang as David. Reviews:

[Scarred by the Wind] is theatre with a capital T, that kind of work whose universal theme works in any culture. The true lovers of the theatre cannot miss it. - The Miami Herald

A masterpiece. Shocking dialogues, direct darts to the sensitivity of anyone.

- El Periódico, New York

Funny and dramatic. A magnificent theatre piece written fluently, vividly and with mastery of language. - Diario de Sevilla
